About.

Based in the picturesque town of Ashburton the team at Mathiesons supports businesses throughout New Zealand. Using the knowledge we have built up over many years of experience you can feel confident that your business is in safe hands.

Together

Dave Mathieson formed Mathiesons Chartered Accountants in 2011 with an objective of being able to gain a thorough overview of his clients businesses and provide insightful and proactive financial solutions.

His goal was to provide assistance and advice to an array of industries and to be ‘more than just numbers’  – and as the reputation of the business grew, so did the team and the services on offer.

A need for an Employment Relations service was quickly identified and Dave’s wife, Lynda Mathieson joined the business as an employment relations expert. With a background in all things employment, Lynda can work with you to ensure you not only meet legislative requirements, but have a team of engaged people within your business.

Together we can help you and your business!

A friend referred me to Dave about six years ago when I was growing a new business and found I needed an accountant. He was very helpful then and has been ever since. He’s very approachable. If I’ve got any problems and can just ring him up and I always get good, straightforward answers. And the staff are always helpful, too. More recently I moved in with another business and he was a great help during that process, too. And he’s given me a GST program which is really easy to use!
